Activities for Sustainable Building by Individual Federal States
Various initiatives and measures for sustainable building are also carried out in the federal states, which the individual states inform about on their websites. The majority of the federal states have introduced a sustainability strategy and report regularly on their progress.

System Operators Recognised by the Federal Building Ministry / Certification Offices for BNB
The voluntary use of the Assessment System for Sustainable Building (BNB) for building certification by private and public clients as well as the recognising of other systems and providers by the Federal Building Ministry are subject to a separate regulatory procedure.
The following system operators (external certification offices) have so far been recognised by the Federal Building Ministry, who offer an examination of the verification documents and certification according to BNB for construction projects:
