Developing Good Ideas and Processes
Similar to Germany, a number of solutions for describing, assessing and communicating the contribution of buildings to sustainable development have been developed and published internationally in recent years in the form of guidelines, checklists, databases and planning and assessment tools. However, they contain differences in the approaches, methodological and data bases, criteria and indicators used.
Therefore - also in the sense of quality, transparency and comprehensibility of the information and evaluation results to be presented - an international or European harmonisation of these principles and procedures is required. The following provides an overview of the various activities.
